Seals prevent dust from entering and extend their lifespan, mainly achieved through the following two methods:
** * Physical isolation * *: The sealing element creates a physical barrier between the rotating component (inner ring) and the stationary component (outer ring or bearing seat) of the bearing. This barrier can be a narrow gap or a tightly fitting contact surface, both of which aim to prevent external pollutants such as dust and moisture from entering the interior of the bearing. At the same time, it can also prevent the leakage of lubricating grease (oil) inside the bearing, ensuring long-lasting lubrication effect.
*Collaborative lubrication: In some designs, seals and lubricants work together to form multiple protections.
